From Amazon.com: "Several months ago I was looking for a product I was not sure even existed - something that would allow me to pump comfortably in my office with a glass door rather than go to a nasty dark file room (provided to me when I was nursing my oldest son) or ran home on my lunch break. After numerous Google and Amazon searches, I discovered this new product - freemie. I cannot be happier. Essentially it allows me to pump completely hands free and with my clothes on. It is perfect for pumping in a semi private office, like mine, a cubicle (you might want to put music on to cover the sound of a pump), or a car.
Con: Freemie makes you look like you are wearing a wonder bra. I usually wear a sweatshirt on top of my regular form fitting clothes." Brooklyn Mom
Editor's Note: Looking like you're wearing a "wonder bra" is a "con"? We've heard that some people like the looks of women in wonderbras!
“I think the best thing I like about the Freemie (system) is that I can pump and breastfeed at the same time.In the mornings, I had to wake up before 6:00 a.m. to feed the baby, which took about 20 minutes, then get up to pump for another 20 minutes, to store milk for him while I’m at work. With the Freemie I am able to sleep later, or just lay in bed and bond with my baby for that extra 20 minutes because I’m pumping and feeding him at the same time. Most mornings, that means I get more rest.” Preschool Teacher
“I love it! I have been using it every morning and it really has changed my morning routine because I can pump while eating my breakfast.Normally, I often have difficulty fitting it into the morning routine, so I put it off until dropping (my son) off at school.I'm already storing more milk than I usually do.Hopefully it will allow me to store more before my return to work later this month...I expect that some folks who see me using this at work will want to know about it...the Freemie (system is) a helpful tool in maintaining breastfeeding as an option for busy women.” Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse
“I am still breastfeeding (my daughter). She's almost 11 months, and I'm trying to make it the full year.So far so good :) I have not had to travel for work, as with times being so tight, the budgets have been cut way back.Honestly though, I'm not at all sad about that!I do still use my Freemie (system) every single day!During the week I leave them at work (we have a dedicated room with storage), and on the weekend I take them home and use them there... I still LOVE them! :) As for bras...honestly, I've found that several bras that I have worn have worked. I've used them with nursing bras (normal and sport variety) as well as an old fashioned regular bra.I'm kinda anti-pain, so I never wear underwires...just your standard old fashioned bra!I find I get more milk because I pump longer. When I had both hands tied up, I always feel on a crunch - like there are 1,000,001 other things I can be doing. With both hands free, at the very least I can multi-task and knock out some presentations or mail...either for work or fun (like updates to the family)...so either way, I'm not as inclined to stop as soon as the milk slows...and hope it will ultimately allow me to increase my supply a little.I have not had problems with spilling the milk. One time I knocked the whole bowl over (I am a natural klutz) and was glad to only lose a few drops.Had I been using a bottle, all of the milk would have been lost.” Sales Rep
